Danielle Etrasco named to US World Cup Team. Etrasco is the 2nd Long Island player to make the US Senior World Cup team.  Danielle Gallagher is the only other Long Island player to make a World Cup team and she participated in 4 World Cups. Danielle Doherty (Liberty 2013) is a part of USC’s top 10 recruiting class for 2014. She joins Liberty alum and MPSF Rookie of the Year Amanda Johansen (Liberty 2013) at USC. Good luck this season girls! Read story.

Cara McQuillan (Liberty Black 2013) and Samantha DePasquale (Liberty Red 2013) are set to be teammates at Siena College.  Cara is described by her coach as, “a great midfielder and attacker who works extremely hard off the ball to get open” while DePasquale is commended for her quick hands, ability to clear and determination to get better. Congratulations Danielle Etrasco (Liberty 2008 and current Liberty coach) on her asst. coaching position at Virginia Tech.  Head Coach Burker on Etrasco: “Her playing experience at the World Cup, along with her leadership experience at Boston University have prepared her to enter the coaching ranks and make an immediate impact on our program.”

Tess Korten (Liberty 2013) is in the spotlight as a member of University of Michigan’s first recruiting class.  Coach Ulehla on Korten: “Tess is a swift and speedy attacker with a prolific dodging ability, who also possesses the skill of precision in feeding and shooting. She is a visionary player who has the capability to score on command and her ready-for-action disposition makes her a strong force to be reckoned with on the field.” Read spotlight.

Her offensive accolades will help CHC (Chestnut Hill College) Lax (Lacrosse) become a powerhouse in the CACC (Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference), and will provide the offensive production needed to win championships.
